Delaware State University's 3-game win streak in football ended Sept. 27 in a 35-31 loss to Sacred Heart at Campus Field in Fairfield, Connecticut.

The Hornets (3-2) led 31-17 after a 33-yard field goal by Patrick Fisher-Butler with 1:55 left in the first half but never scored again.

Jack Snyder's 6-yard TD pass to Jason Palmieri moved the Pioneers ahead 35-31 with 6:44 left.
