A man and a boy were killed in a late Friday night crash on Quail Roost Drive in South Miami Heights, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

According to FHP, troopers responded to a crash involving a black Lexus sedan carrying the man and boy, and a gray GMC SUV carrying four occupants on eastbound State Road 994 (Quail Roost Drive) and Southwest 117th Avenue near South Miami Heights.

Surveillance video obtained by CBS News Miami from a nearby farm store captured the moments when the Lexus seemingly lost control and hit the back of the GMC. Moments later, people began running over to the scene, trying to help. A minute later, flashing lights from a law enforcement vehicle are seen.
