TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - An investigation is underway after a man died under suspicious circumstances south of Tulare, the Tulare County Sheriff's Office announced Saturday.

Deputies say around 1:15 p.m., they responded to the area of Road 80, south of Avenue 184, for a report of a person who was hit by a vehicle.

Responding units reported a man was found dead in the roadway; however, his cause of death is still being investigated. His identity has not been officially released.
