CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Fans rushed the field instantly after UVA football’s big win Friday night but what began as celebration quickly prompted a large emergency response.

Saturday morning, Scott Stadium was silent. A sharp contrast from the energy just hours earlier.

“On the hill down near the bottom on the right it was crazy, every single small point we got it would blow up, we were getting pushed around but we didn’t care it was awesome,” UVA student Caitlyn Graves said.

The Cavaliers shocked Florida State 46–38 in double overtime, immediately after the final play, the turf quickly disappeared under a wave of fans.
