SCHENECTADY — The Union College football team put together its best game yet in the still young season Saturday night, topping St. Lawrence 44-12 in its Liberty League opener at Frank Bailey Field.

The Garnet Chargers (1-0 league, 2-2 overall) racked up 28 first downs, 246 yards rushing, 258 yards passing and even a special teams touchdown in thoroughly dominating the Saints.
