AMES, Iowa (13 News) - No. 14 Iowa State ran over Arizona for a 39-14 win at Jack Trick Stadium Saturday night.

The Cyclones scored on five short touchdown runs, including two following turnovers by the Wildcats.

It was the first loss of the season, and the first Big 12 game, for Arizona (3-1, 0-1).

Noah Fifita passed for 253 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions against the Cyclones. Ismail Mahdi picked up 85 yards on the ground for Arizona.

Iowa State’s Rocco Becht threw for 243 yards while Carson Hansen ran for 63 yards and two touchdowns.

The Wildcats had opened the season with wins over Hawaii, Weber State, and Kansas State.
