Florence Welch is opening up about a scary time in her life where she almost died.

The 39-year-old singer recently revealed that she had an ectopic pregnancy in 2023, which nearly cost her her life.

An ectopic pregnancy is when “a fertilized egg implants and grows outside the main cavity of the uterus,” per the Mayo Clinic .

While speaking to The Guardian , Florence shared how she had a miscarriage in August 2023, and days later learned the pregnancy was ectopic, with her fallopian tube becoming ruptured. This caused massive internal bleeding for the singer.
