MEMPHIS, Tenn. - As Bluff City basketball fans gear up for another season of the Grizzlies' quest for the franchise's first NBA Championship, the team released an update on the medical status of players who were injured prior to the start of training camp.
All-Star Forward Jaren Jackson Jr. underwent a procedure to repair a turf toe injury in early July; the Grizzlies said he's been cleared to begin ramping up basketball activities and is expected to be ready to play in 4-6 weeks, which would leave him missing the first few games of the season.
