SCRANTON, Pa. — St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, located along Prospect Avenue, is hosting its annual rummage sale and food festival on Saturday and Sunday in Lackawanna County .

Families could fill up on empanadas, tamales, and tacos and then browse the furniture, housewares, and artwork up for grabs.

Father Jonathan Kuhar of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish says why the food festival and rummage sale are so important. "So the most important outcome of this is not really the fundraising, that's important, but what's most important is the community growing and growing stronger together and having those bonds of familial love grow and grow together."

The food festival and rummage sales continue tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Scranton.
