DICKSON CITY, Pa. — It's been 50 years of pushing the pedal to the metal, rubber hitting the road, and classic car cruises like the one at Viewmont Mall in Dickson City , Friday night, that's kept Pocono Mountain Street Rods Association running smoothly.

"The club was started in Yatesville, Pennsylvania, a group of guys that were into street rods at the time, and it was strictly a street rod club for a number of years, where you had to have a pre-48 modified vehicle," said Chip Bell, Pocono Mountain Street Rods Association President.

Started in 1975, the organization has been a place for members, car gurus, gear heads, and horsepower junkies to show off their rides that encompass decades of automotive history.
