HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - An arsonist is still at large after allegedly starting a wildfire that burned 380 acres along Holomua Road in Paia over the past four days.

Investigators believe the Holomua Fire, which broke out on Tuesday afternoon, was intentionally set because of two separate ignition points 300 feet away from each other.

The Maui Fire Department reported the brush fire is now fully contained and there were no damages or injuries.

Flames crept toward nearby homes and Paia Elementary School, which was forced to close for three days.

Area residents were evacuated for several hours on Tuesday, but the county said about one in three of them ignored the orders.
