Down goes Georgia football in another upset during the 2025 college football season .

On Saturday, Sept. 27, Alabama knocked off the Bulldogs for the second straight season, this time a 24-21 loss for Georgia at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Georgia. The Bulldogs (3-1, 1-1 SEC) struggled to get off the field on third downs against the Crimson Tide offense.

Alabama converted 12 of 19 third-down conversions to keep Kirby Smart's Bulldogs' offense sidelined. Georgia also committed six penalties for 68 yards, including a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on the final drive.

Despite losing to Alabama last season, the Bulldogs were able to win the SEC championship and earn a College Football Playoff berth. So by no means does the loss knock Georgia out of playoff contention, but
