Georgia football' s third-down defense proved to be a killer for much of its 24-21 loss to No. 16 Alabama that ended the Bulldogs’ nation’s best 33-game home winning streak.
One fourth down on offense was maybe more costly for the Bulldogs to knock the No. 3 Bulldogs from the ranks of the unbeaten on Saturday Sept. 27.
On a fourth-and-1 at the Alabama 8-yard line with the Bulldogs trailing by a field goal, Georgia ’s offense hurried to snap the ball early in the fourth quarter.
