BLAINE, Minn. — A Minnesota hockey player was back at the rink after he broke his neck during a game in Canada.

Jackson Drum, 18, has spent the last several months recovering in Atlanta, Georgia. He flew back home Friday night, then headed to the National Sports Center Saturday afternoon to watch his team play in a showcase.

“It felt amazing, it felt like I was back home, really,” Jackson said. “I can’t believe it, it’s like everything just lined up together, just for this moment.”

Even though an ice rink is home for Jackson, his parents didn’t think he would be back so soon.

“I did not think I would be in a hockey rink for quite a while and here we are,” Jackson’s mother Erica, said. “He loves hockey.”
