MARSHALL - The News-Record sat down with Madison County Manager Rod Honeycutt for a question-and-answer session on Sept. 25 just ahead of the one-year anniversary of Tropical Storm Helene.

The News-Record: I know for a lot of us, experiencing this rainfall (on Sept. 25, 2025) has resulted in a complicated mix of emotions. How have you been feeling?

Rod Honeycutt: It's PTSD. Trauma.
