HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WENY) -- On Saturday, the Horseheads Historical Society hosted the first day of its second annual Ghost Walk. The spooky event is a fundraiser for the society.

People gathered at the Depot Museum, where they were able to hop aboard a shuttle to the Maple Grove Cemetery.

From there, guests got to wander on the one-hour tour, which included storytelling from historical figures representing Horseheads' past. Four different stations were set up around the cemetery where people could hear each actor's presentation, possibly even finding connections to their own lineage.

The society says the fundraising event is meant to be more informative than frightening; however, they add that walks after dusk may add to the guests' experience.
