ELON, N.C. — Radford High School graduate Landen Clark threw for 169 yards to lead Elon to a 41-20 win over Hampton in its CAA opener Saturday.
Clark, a redshirt freshman, had a 6-yard touchdown run to give the Phoenix (3-2, 1-0) a 24-20 lead late in the third quarter.
Isaiah Furhmann had 135 receiving yards for Elon, including an 81-yard TD catch. TJ Thomas Jr. had two TD runs.
Jah’Kei Chavis had a 75-yard TD run in the second quarter for Hampton (1-4, 0-2).

Mitchell Johnson ran for 177 yards and two touchdowns to lead the host Yellow Jackets (3-1, 2-0 ODAC) past the Generals (1-3, 1-1).
Anthony Crawford ran for 82 yards and a touchdown for W&L.
