The Roanoke College football team recorded another milestone win Saturday.
Tyson Miller ran for two touchdowns and Kam Hill threw two touchdown passes to help the Maroons beat Gallaudet 38-14 at Salem Stadium.
The Maroons earned the first ODAC victory in the program’s history.
“It’s extremely special,” said William Byrd graduate Lane Shoemaker, who picked off two passes for Roanoke. “We’re writing history here.”
“It’s amazing,” Hill said.
The Maroons (3-0, 1-0) are playing varsity football this season for the first time since 1942.
Shoemaker said he is not surprised his team is off to a 3-0 start.
“This is where we expected to be,” he said.
Roanoke’s first ODAC win came in the program’s very first ODAC game.
