Sene scored his second Boro goal in successive weekends to earn his side a point in a hard-fought game at Southampton. His goal may have been helped by a big deflection, but in making the initial run and holding off Boro academy graduate Nathan Wood, the Senegalese forward got his just rewards.
Encouragingly, both of Sene’s goals have come when he’s started from the bench before coming on later in a game and making an important impact. While he’ll hope to start more games moving forward, that he has made the contributions shows his hunger to succeed
