DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - A man was arrested Saturday night in connection with the death of a 49-year-old woman.

Davenport police, fire and Medic EMS responded at 8:25 p.m. to a home in the 3800 block of West Locust Street for a report of a domestic disturbance.

They found a woman suffering from life-threatening injuries outside the home, police said.

The woman was taken to a local hospital, where she died from her injuries.

Police said the investigation showed the woman was assaulted by Donald Brentise Jr., 41, who was arrested at the scene.

He is charged with first-degree murder, going armed with intent, and interference with a weapon.

The incident is under investigation. Police did not release any more information early Sunday.
