It is common knowledge that President Donald Trump terminated federal funds that were appropriated to NPR and PBS. (" Pennsylvania NPR station will be first in the US to go dark after Trump’s cuts ," Sept. 21.)

What people might not be aware of is that Trump also taken steps to dismantle the Institute of Museums and Library Studies. This small Federal agency helped foster growth and stability to museums and libraries around the country.

What U.S. president, ever, took a stand against museums and libraries? Apparently Trump must think only liberal Democrats visit museums or libraries.
