Not for the first time this season, we’re talking about Rob Edwards’ changes and how they’ve influenced a game for Middlesbrough.

We’re only seven games into the Championship season, but that’s already emerging as a really positive theme of the season. Kaly Sene’s second goal in successive games from the bench at Southampton earned Boro a hard-fought and respected point against a promotion favourite.

As yet another Edwards change made the difference, it’s hard not to appreciate the golden touch that the new Boro boss has right now. He and his coaching team seem to get it right time and time again. And yet, he’s keen to deflect the praise.
