The Department for Work and Pensions has urged benefits claimants to protect themselves when managing pensions online. The DWP and Labour Party government have spoken out via social media, urging pension savers with online accounts to implement some key and crucial protective measures.

On Facebook the DWP has shared an important reminder about keeping your account safe. Taking to social media, the DWP shared an urgent alert for pension savers which says: "Managing your Pension online?

"Here's how to protect your pension against fraudsters: Create strong passwords using three random words and enable two-step verification to give your account an extra level of protection."
