DUBLIN -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have ruled out five players against the Minnesota Vikings . Among them are cornerback Joey Porter Jr. and running back Jaylen Warren, two critical pieces to the team.
Porter is battling a hamstring injury and has not played since suffering the injury against the New York Jets in Week 1. Originally described as just ‘tightness’, it is clear that Porter suffered a real injury and the team does not want him to suffer a setback, thus they will give him the bye week.
Warren suffered a knee injury and was expected to play, but will instead sit out and try to come back after the bye week. He was in a knee brace earlier this week, and was limited throughout the week with the issue. Warren warmed up, but the team held him back.
