Searching for some family entertainment this autumn? ‌

New Lanark World Heritage Site, a unique 18th-century mill village sitting alongside the picturesque River Clyde less than an hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh , is providing what it describes as an exciting blend of "creativity, mystery and starlit wonder". ‌

Founded in 1785 with a focus on philanthropy, education and the welfare of mill workers, New Lanark became a model for industrial communities worldwide in the 19th and 20th centuries. ‌

It was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001, with ongoing conservation and promotion managed by New Lanark Trust in partnership with South Lanarkshire Council and Historic Environment Scotland.
