The New Orleans Police Department has arrested a man in connection with a deadly shooting in the Bayou St. John area.

The shooting happened in the 3200 block of Dumaine Street around 7:55 a.m.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering a gunshot wound. The man was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No other information has been provided at this time.
