One woman is dead and another is injured after a "chaotic scene" at a home on Indian Springs Road in Ringgold, says Catoosa County Sheriff Gary Sisk.

Deputies arrived on scene to find ten or more people in the yard of the home as shots were being fired from suspects running from the scene.

Officials rendered aid on the injured women until EMS arrived and took them to a local hospital. One of the women succumbed to her injuries.

"Other Deputies and assisting agencies searched for suspects who we think have left the area," stated Sheriff Sisk to Local 3. " This is an ongoing investigation and we will release information as we can."
