BOISE, Idaho — The Boise Police Department is investigating a false report of an active shooter at a Jewish center on Sunday morning that prompted an emergency response but yielded no evidence of gunshots or victims.

According to the Boise Police Department, officers responded shortly after 11 a.m. to the reported shooting at the Chabad Jewish center on South Maple Grove Road.

Upon arrival, police found no evidence of gunshots or victims at the scene. An investigation determined the emergency dispatch call was a false report.

The identity of the person who made the false report remains unknown, police said. The incident is now being investigated as a case of malicious harassment.
