Three members of the family featured in the TLC reality series "Meet the Putmans" have died in a car accident.

A statement released by the Putman family on Saturday, Sept. 27, said that Bill Putman, his wife Barb, and their daughter-in-law Megan were killed in a "tragic car accident."

Five other members of the family − Blake, Lulu , Alena, Noah and Gia − were injured and remain in the hospital, the family shared on social media.

"We ask for your continued prayers for Uncle Blake, Lulu, Alena, Noah, and Gia as they recover, and for our whole family as we walk through this deep loss," the statement read, adding, "Thank you for every prayer, message and act of love."
