KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — I-275 North and South in Knox County is back open after it was shut down this weekend for bridge replacement work over Elm Street and Bernard Avenue, according to Mark Nagi with the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
The closure was originally scheduled for Friday. Sept. 26, at 7 p.m., and was supposed to last until 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 29.
I-275 has undergone three closures over the last few months to replace the bridge, and TDOT does not expect to close this section of the interstate for repairs again.
