LAKE ARIEL, Pa. — One person is dead and two people were hurt after a shooting Sunday afternoon at a housing development in Wayne County . The alleged shooter is in state police custody.
State police say they responded to the shooting around 3 p.m. at The Hideout, a gated community near Lake Ariel.
26-year-old Lucas Gartrell of Lake Ariel, was taken into custody, according to the state police. A Hideout security officer was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other people were injured and were flown to surgery, according to the state police. Police say they are now in stable condition. The names of the victims have not been disclosed.
The community was on lockdown this afternoon, but residents were allowed to return to their homes around 6:30 p.m.
According to a court filing, Gartrell
