An innocent bystander who was killed in a shooting on New Orleans' famed Bourbon Street was identified as a Chicago woman who was visiting to celebrate her birthday, police said.

The 33-year-old woman, who hadn't been identified as of Sunday evening, was shot and killed at around 2 a.m., in the 100 block of Bourbon Street. Three others were injured in the shooting, which Police Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick called a "shootout" that began with a fight.

WDSU, the NBC affiliate in New Orleans, reported three people who were shot, a man and two women, were found near where the shooting occurred. A fourth person, a woman, was located approximately a block away.
