TUALATIN Ore. (KPTV) - Authorities are working to recover a body from the Tualatin River near a Tualatin park on Sunday afternoon, according to the Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue.
Around 4 p.m., crews were called to Brown’s Ferry Park for a water rescue, which was quickly determined to be a body recovery instead, a TVF&R spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said they received several calls about the body, which was “confirmed by a kayaker.”
Deputies with both the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office are responding, as the agencies are not yet sure which has jurisdiction, the TVF&R spokesperson said.
This is a developing story and updates will be added when available.
