TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Hurricane Humberto and Tropical Storm Imelda are expected to avoid a United States landfall.

TD Nine has been upgraded to Tropical Storm Imelda. The tropical storm is near the Bahamas and is expected to move north into open waters over the next few days.
The track from the agency is just off the eastern Florida coast and turning northeast away from the southeast coast early next week.
Imelda is forecast to become a hurricane by early next week and will bring high surf and dangerous rip currents to the Florida First and Space Coast. The next name is Imelda.
While Tropical Storm Imelda will not have a direct impact on the Big Bend or South Georgia, there could be enough moisture from the tropical storm to spark a few showers along the stalled fro
