Robert C. Youmans Charlton - Robert C. Youmans, age 89, of Charlton, passed away on September 21,2025 at his home. He was born in Cape Vincent, NY on December 17, 1935, to parents Donald and Elma (Ingersoll) Youmans. Robert (Bob) spent his childhood in Cape Vincent and was active in school sports, band and chorus. He graduated from High School in 1953, and enlisted in the United States Naval Reserve, serving for 6 years.

Education became the focus of his life. He attended Albany State Teacher's College for one year and then transferred to Cortland State Teacher's College. Bob was drafted into the United State Army in 1958. He was honorably discharged in 1961. After his service time he went back to college at Cortland and there met his future wife, Patricia Morey.
