DOLLY Parton has been forced to postpone her Las Vegas residency amid a number of "health challenges."

The 9 to 5 hitmaker posted an emotional message on her Instagram page in which she told how she had been instructed to undergo a "few procedures" as a result.

The news came just days after Dolly , 79, left fans concerned when she was a no show for a scheduled appearance at her Dollywood theme park.

Now the country music beauty has revealed she will need to shift her Las Vegas extravaganza, which would have seen her perform six dates this winter, to next fall.

In her text post uploaded to her grid, Dolly wrote: "I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts.
