After appearing in Delhi's Patiala Court, Chaitanyananda Saraswati was sent to 5-day police custody.

Swami Chaitanyanand Saraswati alias Parthasarathi, former head of Shri Sharda Institute of Indian Management located in Vasant Kunj, Delhi, and accused of sexual harassment of female students, was constantly changing his hideouts before his arrest. During the last 50 days, he changed 15 hotels.

According to media reports, he used to stay in cheap hotels without CCTV cameras to evade the police. Chaitanyanand's close associates used to choose hotels for him. The 62-year-old Chaitanyanand remained hidden in the religious cities of Vrindavan and Mathura in Uttar Pradesh.
