Alan Fettis is said to be close to landing his first role since leaving Middlesbrough earlier this month.
The goalkeeper coach will join the academy of Premier League side Everton, according to Alan Nixon. Everton have been seeking a new head of academy goalkeeper coaching after former Darlington loanee David Lucas was promoted to first-team duties by David Moyes in the summer.
Fetis announced his shock Boro departure earlier this month after three years at the club. He served under Chris Wilder and Michael Carrick, and continued his role during pre-season under Rob Edwards before deciding to move on. It’s unknown when he will start his new role.
