A three-day weather warning is set to affect parts of the UK this week with "persistent" and "heavy" rain forecast by the Met Office.
A yellow weather warning for rain has been issued by the Met Office coming into force at 5pm on Wednesday, October 1, and remaining in place until 6am on Friday, October 3.
Heavy rain is set to affect parts of Scotland including Strathclyde and the Highlands with the risk of disruption to transport and flooding.
