ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Charlie Morton, in what’s likely his final start as a major leaguer, was greeted by family and teammates, along with a standing ovation, as he walked off the mound Sunday at Truist Park.

Morton, 41, who made his MLB debut with the Atlanta Braves in 2008, was signed by the team on Sept. 22, just one day after being designated for assignment and released by the Detroit Tigers.
