LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Michigan Avenue construction project in Lansing has entered a new phase, with lane reductions now in effect from Pennsylvania Avenue east to the University of Michigan Health-Sparrow pedestrian bridge.
Access to UM Health-Sparrow will be maintained, and all emergency services will remain fully operational.
However, patients and visitors should expect significant delays and are encouraged to use rear entrances on Eureka and Jerome Streets when possible.
Michigan Avenue remains fully closed from the pedestrian bridge east to Holmes Street.
Detour routes:
Eastbound traffic: North on Pennsylvania Avenue, east on Saginaw Street, south on Howard Street.
Westbound traffic: North on Homer Street, west on Grand River/Oakland Avenue, south on Pennsylvania Avenue.
