MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WEVV) — Madisonville Police say they arrested a break-in suspect who was shot at by a resident.

Police responded to a home on West Noel Avenue on Sunday afternoon, after 36-year-old Landon Foster reportedly entered the home.

MPD says the victim had no idea who Foster was or why he was there, so they grabbed a handgun.

Officers say the victim fired one round at Foster but missed, striking a nearby home instead.

During the incident, police said Foster tried to grab the gun from the victim, causing an injury to their hand.

Police say the incidents were caught on camera and that witnesses were also able to confirm what happened.
