PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Two people were arrested Sunday night as crowds gathered outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Portland.
Portland police said they monitored protests Sunday, both at the ICE facility and the march in Downtown Portland, and things remained mostly peaceful throughout the day.
As the night went on, police said they did witness some physical altercations between opposing protesters, and around 9:30 p.m., they arrested a 17-year-old for fourth-degree assault.
A short while later, officials said they also arrested a 38-year-old man for third-degree assault.
Police said that no force was used during either arrest, and other than the two arrests, the demonstrations were peaceful.
KOIN 6 will continue monitoring the protests happening in Portland.
