A man has suffered a broken leg after an assault in a Spondon street. The victim was driving a black Audi A3 down Stoney Lane, from the direction of the A52 , on the afternoon of September 3 when another vehicle reportedly turned into his path, causing him to brake suddenly.
The driver of that car, a black Peugeot 207, to have pulled alongside the victim and shouted abuse at him. Police say that after the victim got out of his car, he was assaulted by the Peugeot driver close to the junction of Sandringham Drive, who then left the area.
The victim sustained a broken leg following the incident, which happened at about 4.40pm on Wednesday, September 3. An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, but has been bailed pending further enquiries.
