Voting for the Elite Eight of the CIProud mascot bracket has begun

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- Voting for the 2025 CIProud High School Mascot Bracket Elite Eight began Monday morning.

With the average seed going into this round being the 22nd seed, some of the smaller schools are looking to pull off some big wins.

As of Monday morning, the bracket has seen more than 8,100 votes since it started from more than 1,300 people.

The following are the matchups for the Elite Eight: • Elmwood/Brimfield Trojans vs. Metamora Redbirds • Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes vs. Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts • Limestone Rockets vs. Princeville Princes • Farmington Farmers vs. Fieldcrest Knights

Voting will end at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3. Some teams have jumped to a big early lead, so make sure to go vote for your team, your favorite mascot or against your rivals!
