CHILLICOTHE, Mo - The Lillian DesMarias Youth Library will be hosting its annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest in October.

The contest is open for local youth and families. There will be six categories for entries. The categories are 2 and under, ages 3-5, ages 6-8, ages 9-11, 12-18, and family entries. A prize will be awarded for each category. Pumpkins need to be turned into the library by 4 pm on Saturday, October 25th.

Pumpkins of any size, shape, or color can be used. Rules for the contest are the pumpkin needs to be created by the individual or group and no puncturing or cutting into the pumpkin can be done.

All pumpkins will be on display for patrons to cast their votes from October 27th through Halloween. Winners will be announced on Monday, November 3rd. For more information on th
