An appeal has been launched by transport police after a man was kicked in the head in a vicious ‘unprovoked’ attack on a Midlands train.

The attack occurred on a train travelling from Hereford to Worcester on Friday, September 12.

The man was kicked in the head and suffered facial injuries in the incident, which took place at 8.10pm on the Worcestershire -bound train.

British Transport Police has issued images of a man its officers would like to speak to in connection with the attack.

He is white, with short brown hair, shaved at the sides.

He also has a brown beard and is pictured wearing a black top.
