Drivers have been urged to assemble a “cold-weather survival kit” made up of five items ahead of October.
With October comes colder weather, especially as we head deeper into the autumn and winter months, with weather map analysts WX Charts warning of "unsettled weather".
Snow could fall at a rate of around 4cm per hour in some parts of Scotland on October 13.
