Terrified screams have echoed through a Sydney street as two dogs attacked at least three children.

The two roaming dogs were first seen targeting two schoolgirls on Glennabbey St at Marsden Park just before 3pm on Tuesday.

CCTV footage shows the dogs rushing towards the girls as they walked home hand-in-hand from school, leaving them screaming.

Neighbours said one of the girls was dragged by her hair and clothes before finally escaping with their help.

The dogs then turned on the other girl.

“She was screaming and screaming and running around and fell down and the dog kept attacking,” a witness told 7NEWS.

About ten minutes later, the dogs attacked another young boy.

The three children were not injured,
