OKEMOS, MI - A Michigan high school was evacuated this afternoon for a possible threat, officials said.
Students and staff were evacuated from Okemos High School after the school received a call about a possible threat, the district said on Facebook .
Meridian Township Police and other first responders are on scene investigating.
“All students are currently safe with staff at the stadium,” the district said.
The announcement asked that students’ families not go to the high school at this time.
“We will continue to communicate as we know more about the situation,” officials said.
During February 2023, authorities responded to a false report of shots fired at Okemos High School. It was one of several schools where there were hoax active shooter calls on the same day.
